5204: a very brave new top Patek
Many thanks first for this great report and the stunning pictures.
The 5204's quality and technical aspects are certainly beyond any doubt.
The only aspect to be discussed is the design: it is a very bold as quite modern looking grand comp. comming from Patek.
The hands put me rally off when I first saw them as they are, nearly, a trade mark design from another watch brand, much lower in
category than Patek.
However, a few days later now: I like them.
They blend in very nicely with the superluminova.
To introduce unfamiliar hands with the combo of superluminova is brave!
The other novelties in very short:
5123 wil be too big looking as the 5196 was, to my taste.
The 5396 with bracelet: coooool and sexxxy! Both versions. Case cand bracelet work well as have contrast. The 5130 is just "spheric" looking.
The 5130 with bracelet: makes more sence with bracelet as it is actually a bit too big for being a formal watch. But still top with leahter!
The ten days tourbi in YG is how this watch was always ment to look like: a killer!

the 5204 is a super watch but we expected this piece. One day they had to replace the 5004. In general it's not a great year. nice watches but other dials or other colored gold isn't a big revelation. And i think that can be said about almost every brand ...
