5170p strap change
This strap just arrived yesterday from Patek, and I feel it complements the dial perfectly and couldn’t be happier!
The black strap which it was delivered with is nice but a bit too formal (these days) and I’ve been searching for something different.
I talked to my AD, who has always been extremely helpful and supportive, and after going through the catalog we decided to try and request
something that wasn’t available. Something new. The request was placed and a couple of months later I learned that the request was accepted!
I was super excited. But now I had to wait an additional two months for this strap to be produced, but it was worth it.
So when I got the call that it arrived, I picked up the watch and headed to the AD the next day.
The black strap was no where near being as dynamic as the dial. Under different lighting the dial changes, going from almost
black in low lighting to a very beautiful blue under bright lights.
However this new strap does just that!
It matches the dial perfectly under different levels of brightness.

strap with embossed alligator pattern.
