5119 or 3919
After much thought and research on this website I decided what Patek I want as my first.
I tried the 5119 on at my local jeweller and it sat nicely on my wrist, but the 3919 gets my heart beating faster, than the 5119.
Only restraint is the smaller case. I have a 17 cm wrist, but large hands.
Can any of you tell me what the lug to lug size of both these watches is. And off course any and all advice is welcome.

Welcome on this beautiful site, and glad we've been of some help! Personally, I would (and did) go for the 5119 -- I have the R version, and was also my first Patek, bought in 2009...
IMO, buying from an AD with whom you have/can establish a relationship is generally better, which is another plus for the more modern version. But in the end it really boils down to personal taste, and both pieces are incredibly classical and full of Pate...

I get what you mean, but I think the difference minimal. Leaning towards a 3919 because this the original from historical point of view. Also curious if someone actually owns a 5022 rose gold. There aren't much for sale, maybe not so desirable??
