5119 is a nice, dressy watch.
Love the simple look with the petite seconds. However, it is a manual wind with the 215 cal.
take a look at the 5120. It is, I believe, the thinnest automatic watch PP makes. It has a micro rotor and a 240 cal. The dial is even simpler than the 5119 with just minute and hour hands. However, it is a milestone in the calatrava family. Both have the hobnail bezel but when I saw them in the metal, it was a lot smaller than I had expected. It seemed that the second hand on the 5119 made the watch appear larger than its counterpart, the 20, notwithstanding that it really IS one mm larger than the 20.

I think the definition of the quintessential PP varies from person to person. As far as I am concerned, and I own the white gold version, this is an extremely versatile watch. Can be worn with any suit/tux, and is classic enough to be also a casual watch....
