Well, it changed a few times

Oct 17, 2017,01:37 AM

It was said so a yearor two ago. And then it was back in production etc... I must say I don't know today but I would say it is possible to order one again.

I'm sure a Salon or AD can tell you if you're interested smile

A great reference to consider indeed.

Best, Mark

Hello everyone, I would appreciate your opinion on this watch and more importantly any first hand experience you have had with it. Thank you in advance for any comments. HAGWE ...

What a timing!

 By: Pretty Boy : August 18th, 2017-12:43
I tried it on today at my AD and will most likely pull the trigger early next week. In the metal, the watch is really stunning, in particular the dial. The proportions of the case are beautiful as is its finishing. The movement is pretty too, and special ...

I only got mine two weeks ago and

 By: drphileasfogg : August 18th, 2017-12:47
It is quite unique, the case work is a piece of art, the dial is simply jaw dropping. Believe me, the dial cannot be photographed, it has to be Patek signature is engraved in the dial and like the signature on the 40th anniversary Nautilus it is really r...

I've seen it a few weeks ago at my AD

 By: nafetS : August 18th, 2017-12:56
And it doesn't work for me because of the date windows. I like regulators, I like the size and case of this watch, I like the dial and I like the overall movement (I like micro-rotor-movements). But I do not like the date function, because of the arrangem...

+1

 By: mahesh : August 18th, 2017-14:33
yes, the a'calendar feature doesn't fit the aesthetics. esp. the date window falls off the place - IMHO. Best, mahesh.,

here is your answer

I thin this one of the best pieces PP has brought out in theist 10yrs!! Enjoy yours Julian ...

An observation

 By: dedestexhes : August 18th, 2017-21:19
To start with, I like the watch very much., recently saw it for the first time in an shopping window. One thing bothers me though from your pictures. Both windows on the top seem to be alligned differently and the windows do not have the same size. A bit ...

You are correct.

 By: Pretty Boy : August 19th, 2017-04:25
I find it a little bit strange as well. But it is the same issue with 5205, 5905 and 5960.

A Brit friend of mine has one

 By: TheMadDruid : August 18th, 2017-13:57
and I got to play with it this past Spring. Great presence, great weight. Case and dial are beautifully executed. If you like Regulateur dials and you're a fan of PP, it's a no-brainer.

Quite a gorgeous piece

Personally I struggle with regulator layout but probably as I have not yet had the pleasure of owning one. No doubt something the eyes get used to quickly! Good luck!

Can we ever get used to Regulators?

 By: cazalea : August 18th, 2017-18:29
In my opinion, never. Best to buy a few and keep trying though .... I have made a serious effort and this PP appeals to me, too. See here www.watchprosite.com

Very cool! Thanks for link

 By: keks : August 18th, 2017-21:21
the first regulateur I recall being much fascinated by was the Vacheron Malte Dual Time Regulateur. This was around 2004 but it was far above my budget at the time. Still think it is gorgeous...

Love the watch!

 By: sham1 : August 18th, 2017-19:01
Love the lay out and the technology behind it but wish it was a mm or two smaller!

Almost awesome but not quite

 By: alphabeta81 : August 19th, 2017-06:56
Movement is special and lovely Dial is one of Patek's best in the modern collection Case is very reminiscent of the legendary 3450 But to me the hands are a problem Makes it too hard to read and regulators are already hard enough to read with good hands T...

I am 100% not a PP fan...

but there are 2 Pateks that I would buy (if money were no question)... the first being the regulator and the second being the star/moon tourbillon... the second I feel unless I sell all body parts, children and everything else I could never have. But... o...

That's a unique and great reference imho

By: Mark in Paris : August 19th, 2017-15:28
The caliber is really top notch (design of the bridges, finishing, wheels display, innovation with the Silinvar parts, etc...) and the way time is shown and how the decoration has been setup is very unusual and has a lot of personality. I saw it on 2 wris...

A very special watch!

 By: jon_jon : August 19th, 2017-17:09
The 5235G is Patek Philippe's first regulator and it is quite special. It is a brand new movement with a lot of silicium parts taken from the previous Advanced Research pieces. Some people claim this watch should have been an AR piece itself. It is a beau...

Would buy this over a 5205/5146/5396 anyday [nt]

 By: Patekphilippecollector : August 20th, 2017-09:17

I own the PP regulator since 1.5 years and I didn't regret buying it for a second.

 By: cayenne1200 : August 20th, 2017-10:09
A regulator dial is not loved by everybody but I find it simply great. Case, dial, finishing...a lot has been written about it and there is no doubt about the quality of the watch. The movement used in the Regulator is not used in any other PP watch and h...

It's a very polarizing piece, to be sure. My thoughts are these...

 By: watchme : August 23rd, 2017-06:05
It's the only Annual Calendar module built on top of the Cal 240. This makes the movement much more interesting than the 324-based versions. Dial-wise, it is beautiful with varying finishes. The legibility is good, once you get accustomed to the regulator...

It polarizes me from one day to the next....

 By: Baron - Mr Red : August 23rd, 2017-06:34
......one day, I see all its falws....the next day I need one.

you need one! [nt]

 By: watch-guy.com : August 23rd, 2017-12:34

"Need" is a big word

 By: Baron - Mr Red : August 23rd, 2017-12:51
2526 is more need. 5131p is more need. But I am gawping a lot.

Watchme, the Regulator does not use the cal. 240 + an Annual Calendar module. Actually, PP has developed the brand new cal. 31-260 for the 5235.

 By: cayenne1200 : August 23rd, 2017-07:19
33 mm in Diameter instead of 27,5 at the cal. 240. Cal. 31-260 came from the Advanced Research Dept. of PP using several parts made of Silinvar. This caliber is used for the Regulator only at this time. This very special movement makes the 5235 even more ...

Hence the continuous threads about this model being discontinued.

5235G

 By: Peter : December 12th, 2017-01:29
i do not think that the production of the 5235G is limited in any ways. i got offered the watch by various ADs in the last month and had actually preordered it but then cancelled the order, mainly because i started to think that it will suffer the usual p...

Sorry but I have to tell you that half of the watches you see on the internet do not exist

 By: drphileasfogg : December 12th, 2017-14:06
As for the limited production of this model, it means limited not unique, how many has Patek made or is making per year I do not know. But the term « limited » comes directly from a conversation I had with Patek.

rare...

well, i hope you are right. but those four watches i got offered by ADs do exist:: ))

Brushed blue dial is simply stunning!

 By: smokinn.babe : September 2nd, 2017-02:41
The regulater looks is one of a kind for sure...its not for everyone. I've had it for over 1.5 years too and still loving it. I normally get bored with my watches quite fast, but not this.

Telling time on the 5235

 By: GreatPilot@me.com : September 3rd, 2017-12:15
I just received mine and love, love, love it. Mesmerizing beautiful, the size is perfect and the dial is arranged consciencly as it should/could be. IMHO telling the time is only a little difficult at two locations on the dial. When the minute hand is at ...

Thanks for the feedback :) [nt]

I was checking out some websites and came across this from XXX that says 5235 has been discontinued. True? Anyone know anything?

 By: smokinn.babe : October 17th, 2017-01:02
Any idea what were the production numbers are? Surely its less than most PP models. Edit: Hi, I just edited the shop's name for discretion, thanks! Mark ...
