Imagine that you could choose a 2-watch collection from Patek Philippe (i am pushing this lower and lower every time!). The only limitation is that there needs to be some financial limitation on what you can choose as 2499s need to come off the table. So,...  

my two would be my ever faithful 7200R London Edition and the holy grail 5531R. And if I have gone over budget Joe, I would forego the 5531R for one of the ten 5029R out there My beloved 7200R London Edition How not to go nuts over the 5531R?!! A rare 502...

I would not wear a watch to swim (and I do swim twice a week) or when I play squash (4 times a week) probably as I try my best to keep my watches in as good condition as possible while wearing them! The fact that I am a partial to leather strap watches de...

Covers many bases for sure. Does the 5078 black dial have enamel?

Good point. Maybe the white email dial, in that case (though black dial is more my style).

I am not a fan of the Nautilus but the 3700 is the icon for me of that genre. Great combination.

But I go with 5726 in bracelet and 5970J. But just as a note, whenever Baron says put the third one, it will be 5213G. ...  

But I think it would currently be 5370P and 5976 for me. I'm not really into calendar complications and I really Like chronographs. The 5976 is from my Point of View the best sporty chronograph in the lineup, even though IT IS white gold. Not perfect, but...

for modern watches i would say: 3700 + 3970

Everyday comfort and wearability, with complication, would be the Nautilus Perpetual 5740. And if I wanted I could swim in it, that said I have a Garmin 920xt for swimming and other sports. The other choice would be a 3970 Perpetual Chronograph. Not sure ... 

Assuming I could get the 5740 at retail!!

My choice will be simple, sorry but even if you put a high financial cap, I can not get away from the cost of these beautiful pieces and I have chosen only watches financially targetables for me but pieces I truly enjoy I have simple tastes Patek Philippe...  

The Nautius gives you the sports angle and the Calatrava the formal angle. And with all the money saved, time for a cabriolet for summer?

Your duo is spectacular and I would have to agree on it.... but I would have to have a steel piece.... 1) 5650G as you may suspect already.... if this had been made in steel my second choice would have been somewhat different perhaps... 2) 570A with Bregu... 

My calculation is based after VAT

1. The 5950a black dial, an elegant and discreet chrono. 2. The 5650G, a sporty all-rounder. But as all good things come in three, I really don't know how I can do without the 5740G... With these three(!) pieces I will cover all kind of my needs: a chrono...

With the 5960A, it is easier on the checkbook that PP made only 2 production versions.

Have seen it in the metal a few times now. The denim blue dial looks fantastic. I just am not convinced by the white gold metal case. I don’t like how easy it is for gold to get scratched. With the 5960G, I imagine that I would play with different straps.... 

5016P is my top choice, because for me it is amazingly beautiful - has a perfectly balanced dial, perfect size, comfortable to wear, classically styled, uber complicated and platinum (and platinum is well, platinum!). For me easily my favorite modern Pate... 

to choose 2- watches , all coming from Patek. I will feel really bored and will start feeling the watches are boring. I love the 2-watches theory but it will never just from Patek. So if my two watches collection must have one Patek, it will be PP 3448 Ye...

it has for years been my "go to" watch.... my "steel Daytona" for regular wear.... it is such a versatile piece. But the 5650g is just a step more special.... there is so much to like there. I still find the second piece incredibly difficult to narrow dow...
