If you travel then the 5164 is the one that's worth having. The 5130 is a great phone watch, but pretty much useless for travel if you cross timezones.

5130 World Time or 5164 Travel Time

 By: Greenwatch : April 15th, 2012-06:19
Hi again! If you were to choose either of these two, which one would you go for and why? If your collection already include a Calatrava AC and a Nauti Jumbo, will a 5164 complete the collection? Thanks for inputs that may be shared.

Go for the Cult, go for the beauty, go for the friendly complication.

Hi Nico, Another great picture, so precise in the details ! How do you do ? By the way, I do agree with you : PP worldtime is a cult, so original, so classy, so everything... I will join the club very soon ;-) Best Didier.

My problem is ...

I like both of the pics that you have shown especially the left one and I like the Travel Time as well. I don't want if there is such a saying that "once you go Patek, you never go back.". I think the more common saying is "all roads lead to Patek." and t...

I thought the same question a lot.

And decided to go first After that my next choice was: I mean the one on the left... Aquanaut will be the next but I want to get with similar bracelet as this: I really like the new Aquanaut but I would like to get a version with both a bracelet and a Tro...

Thanks Kari for sharing your thoughts.

I plan to travel more often...

In due time as my kid goes to college soon. I prefer something practical and I really like the 5164 the moment I saw it in this forum. It is the price tag that is keeping me from taking the plunge, in addition to its availability.

Don't get me wrong

The 5130 is a spectacular watch with a great complication, and I would love to own one. It's just that if you do travel frequently across timezones it's not the best companion. The 5164 is a wonderful watch, but I also balked at the price. I already have ...

Nicolas knows my vote as well....

As he is the one who encouraged me to join his cult... ;-))))...

Yes, yes, yes! Was good to meet you in Geneva, by the way!

How about the 5134 (GMT/Travel Time)

 By: descartes1 : April 16th, 2012-17:33
If you are talking Patek dual (or multiple) time-zone pieces, I think the 5134 needs to be included in the discussion. It's the one I chose:...

Some thoughts on the 5134

 By: descartes1 : April 17th, 2012-11:09
You are welcome. I think the 5134 is a great choice. It's got classic calatrava styling but with an interesting and useful complication. It is also relatively thin, so it works well as a dress watch. Yet, it also has a modern, sporty element to it because...

Thanks again...

For the detailed features and options available in the 5134.

5164

My choice would be the 5164. Much more practical in day-to-day travel situations. Dual time zone that can easily be adjusted back and forth, and it has date as well as day/night indicator.

Love really the practicality of the 5164 during travel.

Also very unassuming because of the rubber strap!
