[Ref. 5177G-028 "School of Fish" -- hopefully wristshots to come soon; it's of course double-sealed at an AD so I promised not to share the real pics yet.] ...
Even though I loved it from the beginning, I'd kept dismissing the Tudor GMT as too large. But suddenly I realized: at this price/quality/style level, why the hell not? ...
One interesting thing is that for the whole alphabet, there are a few letters that are missing from the dial, namely โKโ, โQโ, โXโ and โZโ.ย In other words, we donโt know the designerโs hand-writing of these four letters
Numbers โ0โ, โ6โ and โ8โ would only show up on last digit of the date, so everyday only one of them is shown, the other 2 missing. So you are right at any day a max of 8 show up. Hahaha!
By the way, your โschool of fishesโ from the new release of rare handcrafts is a marvelous treasure. I look forward to your pictures after you pick it up. Enjoy!!
Really aiming for this to be my next (behind my 5205G-013). Out of curiosity, how hard is this one to get? Only have one other Patek (the above referenced reference).
