I went through that exercise too and I must say a Nautilus should stick with bracelets. Just try to give you options!

Patek 5726 Black or white.

 By: Bill : February 17th, 2020-14:15
Wondering what the experience has been regarding black vs white. I know when i put the white 5711 i really loved it. But here we have a little more going on. What is the feeling of those who owned one or both flavors. Borrowed two pictures from the web. ...

White for me..

When you pulling the trigger?

It’s now two miles long ;-))

Tough call. [nt]

Black would be a more manly color. It is the color of authority. πŸ‘

And it contrasts the case and bracelet. Stainless steel. My opinion. Geross

5726A

Since you already have couple nautilus, why not consider the leather strap version 5726A. Some said the annual calendar is more a dress watch feature so it suit more with a strap and I believe is easier to source one too

I already went through that mental exercise.

 By: Bill : February 17th, 2020-20:29
I still feel the nauti should be paired e we ith a bracelet. But it is true what you are thinking.

Agree.

I’m simple. I’d go for the 5711 or 3800 vintage.

 By: EinPa : February 17th, 2020-20:23
For me that’s the DNA.

Tough choice!

 By: NoH : February 17th, 2020-22:50
I feel the white is a little more sporty and the black a little more elegant/formal, but really I could go either way. Perhaps a slight preference for white here though the unobtainable blue would top my list. If you already have the white 5711 then perha...

Bill since you have the white (discontinued) 5711 I say go for the black dial 5726

By: Mohannad (aka Riddler) : February 17th, 2020-23:35
This way it’s more diverse

It is as well

Both 5726 white and black are discontinued Only the leather strap is still in production and the new unattainable blue dial

Easy!

1. Blue 2. White 3. Grey Just my taste, of course... Best Tempus

Both are nice and I like that the 5726 is just so slightly bigger than the 5711 without being overpowering.

My question to you would be the following: since the white dial version is discontinued and assuming you have nobody who would give it to you at retail, why not buy a nice Patek Philippe perpetual calendar for the same amount instead?

I am still a little confused on the 5726 discontinued black and white.

 By: Bill : February 18th, 2020-07:58
I knew about the black but i guess the white is discontinued also. Perpetual calendar is another target for sure.

Only you can determine

I have all three colors and enjoy them all on different days for different reasons. Only you know where you go, what you do, what you wear ... and ... what other watches are in your collection. I don't think I'd take advice from anyone else. If you can pu...

I also loved the 5711 in white.

...

I like both black and gray. I have both in the collection.

 By: Bill : February 18th, 2020-08:00
Just bouncing ideas with a lean towards another white.

I have had them both on the wrist tough decision.

 By: Bill : February 18th, 2020-16:34
For now I have two blueish 5712/5980 and one whitish 5711 so maybe 2/2

Just a picture to help you (or not !)

IMO from a collection perspective, the clear choice, given your ...

Nautilus dials now, is the black/gray ! Naturally if you have a strong preference for the white, then by all means go for this color.

Tough choices all around.

 By: Bill : February 18th, 2020-08:02
Let’s see where the chips fall. Thanks

I prefer the white, hands down...

 By: watchme : February 18th, 2020-07:23
due to the crispness of the hands and indices. (I really wish Patek would do a 5712/1A with a white dial!) -Dean

Sounds like the white is getting more love here.

 By: Bill : February 18th, 2020-08:04
Thanks for your thoughts.

no question in my mind...

 By: keks : February 19th, 2020-03:40
since you are asking opinions... I would go black dial any day of the week. To me a much more appealing piece and complements your Nautilus lineup perfectly. I do however prefer the 5990 over the 5726... but they are not far apart...

Exciting...

 By: keks : February 19th, 2020-09:05
On the 5711 I vote white over blue... the white is far more interesting on that ref in my opinion... for blue greatness there is 5712 and 5980 after all... having said that the white dial 5980 is gorgeous too...

Bill, it is actually a dark grey dial, not black... that would be and was my choice in any case...

 By: holdemchamp1225 : February 19th, 2020-09:56
since you already have a 5711/1A white dial, like myself, I believe, this would make a nice addition. Actually wore it today ...

Here is the line up.

...

Exactly what I thought from seeing your photos, so going with the GREY dial would round out your collection nicely πŸ˜πŸ˜‰πŸ‘

 By: holdemchamp1225 : February 19th, 2020-10:10
You would have all the bases covered in dial color as well (blue, grey, and white) πŸ‘
