Did they remove the date from the movement in the Siena?
I noticed that the PF website has the same movement for both the ‘regular’ date model and Siena Gold dial model which doesn’t have a date window.
Question is, did they just make a dial which doesn’t have a date aperture (but left the date mechanism and date wheel), or did they actually remove the date mechanism?
I’d be a bit disappointed if they left the date mechanism. And I’d be very impressed if they took the effort to remove it.

I have handled both for a very long time and must say that the MR dial is a bit dull after half an hour and I very much prefer the slim case together with the bracelet. The MR is a bit too thick for this refined bracelet. And the Siena dial is amazing imo...

I can tell you that the MR feels like magic on the wrist. Just about perfect ratio of diameter to height to weight, at least for me.
I know you're not looking for another blue dial, but the Tonda PF "Milano Blue" Chronograph has the same near perfection feel as the MR. I can confirm that the Parmigiani brand has sunk its claws deep into me. I am waaayyy impressed with the brand. M4 ...
p.s. I have not seen the Sienna Gold Tonda PF but have read favorable comments especially on the dial color.
I own the Tonda PF Micro Rotor and consider it "very nice" but it's not in the same league as my two other Tonda PFs.
Saw both the other day, was wondering the same thing…
although more hypothetically than for immediate purchase. Tough call! Right now I’d lean to the Siera dial.
I would personally choose the Golden Siena
or, even better for me, one of the new Torics. But of course the only important thing is what you personally like.
