Very very cool and technical.
This is one watch that makes my heart pound faster.

Second balance/escapement?  High-speed remontoire?  What gives, how does he get 100 ticks per second out of a 3 hz movement?

PS - Oh yeah, and thanks!  Very interesting stuff!

When I asked FPJ to explain he said the 3hz was not relevant. By allowing having control of the flying second hand through a series of 16 jumps and the ability to stop it at any point around the dial he achived the goal of being able to measure time in the precise manner he wanted to. Jack does bring up a good point when he questions the speed of the second hand between jumps. I know some serious physics people and will ask them if there is an easy way to test. I'm interested to learn more about the complication and reserve the right to change my mind when I see the piece in person, but I really do not like the design at all.  The screwed on chrono subdials look like they were attached on top of a nicely designed watch, rather than being integrally designed.  I'm sure that was the look they were going for, but it doesn't sit well with me.

You have every right to dislike any watch, just personal preference.
I'm glad there's at least one watch we don't see eye to eye.
But this watch really really does it for me. The design is really impeccable base on the photographs.
Very photogenic...very cool.
I suggest it's time to sell your GP Tourbillon to fund this piece ;-)

My first inclination was uncertainty.  Now, after viewing this short video as well as looking at some of the other pic's, this watch is absolutely amazing!

The reset on the 10:00 sub dial is just smoking cool... 

I am wearing my Datograph today, which I truely appreciate and enjoy, but the new Journe Centigraphe is so very different yet refined and, dare I say classy, that I am sure it too will join its brethen at my home sometime in the next 12 months when released (presuming the excess funds are available and my wife doesn't know...).

The 21,000 v/h isn't really relevant since the second hand is driven by both the going train of the movement , working off the barrell, and the chronograph train, working off the barrel arbor. The flying second hand achives a full rotation of one second by jumping around the dial 16 times a second. Despite this series of start/stops the movement allows the second hand to stop anywhere along the dial and even stop in between 1/100th second measurement.

that dial is not very attractive IMHO.  Maybe I will eat my words when viewed in the metal.

I do like the "toggle" instead of pushers.

All in all Journe stays at the top in regard to innovation, but not a watch I can see myself wearing.
