Both classics in my opinion
Decided to take my 22 year old Audi TT mark 1 out of a quick drive. I was prompted to revisit owning one by a post on this forum. It reminded me of the pure joy this model of car gave me when I had one back then in 1999 I have to say it’s been one of my best purchases in the last year. I was lucky to find one in great condition with 30,000 miles. It makes me smile ear to ear. The optimum is in my top two watches for sure.

I was a teenager when that first TT came out and there has never been--in truth there will never be--a car I've lusted for more than I lusted for that one.

Oh I remember the TT, I always liked it so unique... As for the Optimum, it’s one of the best looking Journe out there. The steering wheel is on the wrong side dough;-))))
I love the feeling that results from knowing you’ve found a watch (or car) that suits you in every way.
The FPJ is such a stellar timepiece. It looks great on your wrist!
Love the TT. What a crazy car to see on the road when they were first launched.
I vividly remember the first one and where I used to see it regularly. At the time a friend had the Z3 roaster, a fantastic car of the same era. But the TT was always my choice (if I would have had one at that time). I eventually owned one closer to the end of the production for the 1st generation. You make me think that I should try and find one again, although I’m also very much drawn to finding a Golf GTI (Mark 5 or 6) from around the same time.

I remember seeing it for the first time too so clearly. I couldn't believe it. I thought one day Id have to own one and worked hard to make it happen back then
The Optimum is in my top 3 favorite FPJ models as well. Just love everything about it. Black Label or Jade dial variant for me please 😉😁
