Seiko

A reasonably priced diver with wrist presence. Previously owned the SBDX001 and sold it over 3 years ago. It had been sort of a mini grail for me as an accidental Seiko collector. Acquired this one recently, the next Gen but still discontinued SBDX017. Came with a slew of straps and both OEM bracelet and aftermarket Miltat bracelet that have yet to be sized. Could be a fun Summer watch although super heavy on bracelet. Likely rubber is the best way to go with this basic luxury tool diver.

I’m really interested in locating a 62MAS eventually.

Agree that a very fine original would be sweet. Thanks for sharing yours! I’m back into Seiko divers lately after years of Rolex, IWC, Glashutte Original, and Grand Seiko.

I tried it on a few times but it didnt work well for me, primarily because of the skinny strap. Do you know the lug size?

I’ve heard both arguments but I feel it is just fine at 20mm…. It is solid too heavy but nothing too terrible. For around the 2K mark it is a whole lotta watch.

Absolutely agree, it is right up there with the best such as the sea dweller, ploprof, etc.

On Suede it looks good too!
