I just couldn’t resist this one.
I’ve been intrigued with the Spring Drive for years. Aside from the impressive technical aspects, I must admit the smooth sweep of the seconds hand is a very cool feature. Since this SBGY003 was released in 2019 I kept coming back to it. The stainless steel case. The proportions and relative thinness. The impeccable fit and finish. The clean dial with sunburst pattern (no date window and PR placed on the back side).
I happened to be talking watches recently with a fellow collector and he mentioned he had this piece. The deal didn’t take very long to happen. I’m very pleased with this most recent acquisition! So comfortable on the wrist and such a pleasure to glance at that beautiful dial with the fluid motion of the seconds hand.

Spring Drive is great and that may be the cleanest example I've seen.

Too bad Grand Seiko produces so few references with this movement
Spring Drive certainly has been established as a viable, innovative, accurate movement type.
I think it will continue to grow in popularity.
The spring drive manual winding is so nice, so does the watch and especially the dial.
