While it might not be from an independent or complicated this Grand Seiko was one of the stand out watches for me.

Very limited dealers in UK

Only realised from SalomQP how constrained their current presence is in the U k. There are only 5 dealers at the moment.
Also learnt they make everything- movement, case, crystals, main springs & oil! Now that's a true manufacture !
I was very impressed & definitely rising on my want/need list.

Modern and Vintage
Modern GS are excellent watches. Have you dipped your toes into vintage Seiko? Endless wonders my friend 
Think there's a problem with distinction

I think most people would count it as just a Seiko & not differentiate it from from a Seiko 5. Which is a great shame & a great opportunity. A shame they don't get how well made it it and an opportunity in that you can have a wonderful watch that is so far under the radar to be invisible

Both the execution and the complete anonymity are part of the appeal. At the same time one wonders if a more flamboyant 'Swiss style' watch executive would not propel them to greater immediate commercial success.
And while I certainly enjoy the understatement and stealthiness, more and / or better stocked ADs would have been useful, too.
