at Christmas dinner....
an aged bottle of chardonnay that delivered a refreshing bouquet of peach, pear with a touch of citrus fruit and a corresponding full bodied palate of above fruit with enough acidity to delight the taste buds. The oak was hardly there, only,so well integrated into the flavours as to render only a suggestion of nuts at the finish.Drinking very well despite its age,as good as a well made aged bourgogne.

It complemented a seafood themed dinner of prawns, salmon, scallops, with some chicken----a good foil!

This old Ebel to round off the evening

all in all.a very pleasant Christmas evening
