How was it?

They say you can age white Bordeaux as you would a red Bordeaux.  

The 2004 Chevalier I had some time this year is certainly prove these white Bordeaux can age.

Did it have a lot of oak flavour or was it more subtle?

Lobster Bisque, cod fish, Octopus Caparccio.
The oak is subtle compare to Domain de Chavalier. Even the latter is no way dominant at all

I haven't had any white Bordeaux, it's interesting to here that a lightly oaked Sauvignon Blanc blend can age so well. You might be interested to know, there is a winery in Western Australia that makes a white Bordeaux blend that (according to them) ages quite well. I have only had the 2014 and if I was to put money on it I'd say it would be great in 10 years! It's interesting how wines of the same variety can have such varying ageing potential!
