I have found some nice pictures of a 6265 vs a 16520 (credit Axl).

Quite interesting to see the differences between the two watches.

The 16520 bezel is too wide IMHO, to me it ruins the proportions of the Daytona.

...on the manual Daytona is the MK3 pushers.

Less cluttered dial (way too many word on the 16520), better looking subdials and better looking overall.

The only nicer thing on the Daytona is the diameter. 37 mm is really small for a chrono - 39mm would make the 6265 perfect.

...also, the rather large crown and pushers give it some extra size.

But it's a matter of personnal taste for sure.

pictures. I do not find the bezel on the 16520 too large I think it is in keeping with the proportions of a larger case. To me the only tiny bit which I would criticise is the "cluster" look of the sub-dials on the 16520 compared to the 6265. If the movement on the 16520 would be a millimeter or so bigger the sub-dials would be slightly further away from the centre and give a more balance look to the dial. Oh, and I like the crown protectors, however I would be very happy with both

I own about same watches, as I have a white dialed 116520, and a silver dial with black sub dials 6269 (from 1967)

My feelings about these two watches is that though I love both, they are quite different.

I love the small size of the 6239, which gives that special charm and "vintage" look. I also like so much the very clean dial of the old models.

I don´t like the cluttered dial of the new version, full of long inscriptions which detract from the cleanliness of the dial.

In the new model, I don´t like the polished central link of the Oyster bracelet, nor the polished upper surfaces of the watch case. Too much shine!!

Both watches are extremely accurate, and this speaks of the noblesse of the old Valjoux 722, as well of the new "in house" Rolex movement.

I enjoy wearing both, but I must confess that I get more pleasure wearing the old one!

Just a personal point of view, of course.

By coincidence, just yesterday afternoon I was shown and offered an identical black dial/Zenith movement, Patrizzi dialed Daytona.

It kept haunting me since then! Can´t get it off my mind!!

It´s a wonderful dial indeed! The patina on your dial is much prettier than the one I was shown. Yours got a beautiful uniform brown color.

The one I saw yesterday is lighter brown, and I believe not so uniform. Pretty and distinctive of course, but not so pretty as yours.

I´m trying to figure how to make a good offer to seller, but I regret I made too many investments this year and the budget is depleted. Will see what I can do.

Maybe more qualitative, but less cool than a manual Dayto.
