No fancy complication. In fact, just a simple hour, minute, seconds Oyster which I just got back from Rolex servicing.
I also just found out that the year of manufacture for this lady was sometime in 1950 - 51. She's 60 years old and looking as good as new. She is however, given her age and lack of certain parts which are no longer available (so Rolex tells me), no longer water proof or even resistant. The newer bracelet I put on some 10 years ago is also not a perfect fit for the older oyster case.
Just thought I share this little nostalgic trivia and Old Dame with you.

With maximum links removed now, it fits my 9 year old son though.
On the contrary: its beauty increases over the time that has passed. Lovely watch you´ve got there, Arthur.
I wonder whether a leather strap might also be suitable for her?
This old pic shows one of my "simplicity" favorites, although not being as special as your Rolex "Precision", but they both share the design that is cut down to the essential minimum.

Kind regards,

special complication etc? I don't think so.
Simple, good looking and no hazzle (aka no date adjusting)
Actually, more the way I like my watches

if there is something different about the Precision range ie movement etc or is the Precision label just a marketing thing?
Thanks in advance.
Arthur
Hi Arthur,
First of all yeahhhhhh, Lewis won (McLaren rules). Second, love your Oyster Precision. I am checking out one right now on the www. It measures 34 mm and I am wondering how small is this on a Rolex. Could you please post a wristshot of your watch (on your wrist of course). I assume your's alo is a 34 mm case?
Thanks in advance,
Best,
Starman
