there a lots of rumors about the news that Rolex will (?) present in Basel:

- new SD with a new movement
- new GMT II with a bi-color ceramic bezel
- new Daytona in PVD
- new Daytona in Rose Gold with a black ceramic bezel
- reedition of the "Jean Claude Killy" chronograph with day+date+month indication

Which one would you like to come true ?

 

I'd like to see its rebirth!
I'd also like to see if they can improve this problem of bracelet, I mean that on the new GMT the case is bigger tha hte previous model, but the bracelet has the same size...Which disturbs me, esthetically speaking.
If a new bi color bezel comes on this GMT, will this mean the end of the "old GMT"???

while I acknowledge the rarity and cult status of the 'Killy', I have never understood the appeal of the watch itself. The Rolex Oyster case and dial design just does not work with the triple calendar-chronograph IMHO. I've examined and tried one specimen and it just didn't speak to me. Thank goodness for that too since this now costs more than a Patek perpetual!

When I see what they did to the Yacht Master.... I'm a bit afraid.
But hey, not very good to be afraid of what we didn't already see...
The Benefit of the doubt, and a lot of passion around the Killy watch, that's more ...Reasonnable!

i would love a new model jck but i also want a pepsi gmt. have held off on one simply because i want something different but similar to the vintage look.  we always want what we can not have perhaps, imo

The new SD makes strategic sense to me. They are leading up to the new Sub, one model at a time--creating momentum and hype, and probably also checking reactions.

Man triple list right off the back.  That's crazy but probably true if this comes to fruition!

which is where most SS Daytonas are bought and sold.  True, discontinuing the SS Daytona would somewhat limit supply, in the sense that the company would turn off the paltry stream of them arriving at ADs from year to year.  But at the same time, the demand for them would also shrink, because ordinary SS Daytonas would no longer be the "must have" version of the Daytona.   I suspect the demand would shrink more than the supply, with a consequent downward pressure on secondary market prices, but I obviously have no real basis for that speculation.
