Question about the ceramic Pepsi.
Today I visited an old friend who for decades has been an official Rolex dealer. I went to inquire about a Pepsi in Oyster bracelet for my son-in-law. He told me that Rolex is not delivering Pepsis to dealers as they are trying to solve the issue of the red ceramic changing hues in time. My friend should know, of course, but I wonder if anyone has any news on this matter.
I don’t much care for the red hue on my Pepsi but I don’t use it much at all.
It’s interesting that at this point they are still contending with the ceramic coloring.
But yours honestly looks great in this picture, so I’m surprised you don’t like it.
Actually the red is better than the blue. The blue in the Batman looks better, to my eye.

That’s very interesting because I have many custom-made slip joints from a lot of Texas knife makers.
Tony Bose was from Indiana. The knife in the picture is a small fixed blade with a flat edge which works great as a desk knife. He made many knives for me. May he rest in peace. A great friend.
A polite lie I think.
Many Pepsi BLRO’s are delivered worldwide daily. This may have been a way to discourage you in your expectations of allocation. Just a thought. I personally don’t believe in polite lies but some use these stories to dissuade requests.
Indeed, the Pepsi appears in the Rolex page “configurator”. Maybe he’s not receiving any. He recently got me a Daytona within a couple of weeks, as soon as Rolex sent him one.
Go figure. And I bought a Pepsi from him soon after they were first launched with the ceramic bezel (the one in the picture).
At the beginning of the production, they had an issue with the blue red hue. But I think they solved that, and I doubt they still have an issue.

Of course I erroneously said 2017 instead of 2018, I got one super early but not a year before it was released 😂
What is the process for this? It can’t be patination bc it’s ceramic. Am I correct here?
