Wonderful Submariner RDS!! Nothing beats the charm of a Sub like yours with nipple dial and plexi.
I got a 16808 from 1987 which lacks these two so charming characteristics but an interesting fading of its originally cobalt blue dial.

To me more interesting than the black dial and bezel. Beautiful. By the way, my Sub is a transitional model, so the crystal is sapphire with quickset date.
