I don't think it will ever be around as it was also a special era.
According to my findings, taxes on imported gold watch after ww2 were very high, this in order to protect French industry, and for this reason Rolex and some other Swiss brands started to send movement only to associate watch sellers, who would make the case in france. They are known as "Rolex French case" and have been made in very small numbers only, and are therefore rare, uncommon watches.
