I picked up this new model today - and I like the changes that were made compared to the 116500. It is more elegant in total appearance imo, thus better suited for aged people like me. 😅
The black dial will come as well soon for my wife, so this time no need to worry that she’ll grab this one…

this is the first my AD sold and the second he received (he has got a display only / show-around model).
I like that the dial color is not that white as its predecessor - and my wife wanted black as it wears smaller by sight

I prefer the new reference much more than the previous one as well!

subdials and markers are smaller/thinner now
somehow the dial is not visually that "full" anymore - I can read it better than the predecessor
Agreed, that’s a notable difference when I compare with the older one.
It’s impressive how little “tweaks” can have such big impact.

I didn’t ask for this new version in steel since I have both the prior version.
Reasons being a little shy and not sure if I need another one but I do agree the new versions are more refined and slimmer.
Here are my 2 oysterflex versions, RG older, YG newer, the bezel rim is good.

The question is, which would you actually wear of the steel options?🤔 I’m debating the same myself, but don’t want to just have for the sake off having. Plus I don’t like the thinner subdials as much since it seems to clash with the protruding crown/pushers design-wise. But the black dial is still nice. I decided to focus on platinum if/when it comes.
I'll leave it to fate....but I won't be declining if my AD decided to allocate one to me and get the call :))

That’s why you deserve the variety, because you appropriately rotate, whereas I’d fixate on the one I like the most.
