After nearly 10 years of adding and subtracting...
... I think I am pretty much done. And yes, I no longer have the energy to chase my AD or "play the game". I feel like I have a fair balance between oyster and jubilee, oysterflex and PCL. What would I do different in this pile? Well, I've been trying to change out the black DJ36 to a fluted blue dial DJ36 and that black OP39 would be sweet if it was a yellow OP41. But hey, I have stopped trying to chase when it is just not meant to be.
Actually, hold on. That stool just may be able to fit one more Day Date. YG on lacquered green dial would be perfect, no? Perhaps if things go smoothly the next year or two (and if one of my ADs finally decides to make me a happy man!).

Took definitely a bit of time and self exploration. Some mistakes made. But zero regrets!

But I have given up on other hobbies before. And with a 2yo at home, there has been less time to browse watches!
My goal…
…is a box of just 8 grails and 3 daily watches. I wonder if this is achievable. I have one more watch arriving soon, and then probably nothing for a long while.

I'd definetely add a daydate to complete it, so you have the jubilee, the oyster, the president and the oysterflex.
It’s hard to think there’s anything wrong with this lineup.
But I do see your point on the DJ and the OP. However maybe the OP should remain as it’s the simplest of all and the black dial you know will always work in pretty much any situation.

I see the appeal
For a good old black dialled watch. But I feel that is perhaps a job better suited for the DJ36!
