I need to branch out...I will work on some ideas I love vintage and thought this would satisfy it, but, don’t want to spend too much on a watch I worry about all the time...I have been there...love the planet ocean but so heavy and thick...
I have 2 of them. Never really bonded with these watches. Springbar quality is bad. It rusted into the lugs and i had to wrench the entire bracelet to break the springbar out of the steel version. The silver one, is a novelty to me only. It is quite replaceable in my collection. Nato strap is nice but the silver prong which holds the strap does not inspire confidence. Dents extremely easily. Standard BB blue I have too. I wear it to sleep and to do gardening. Too thick and bulky for it’s specs I always feel. If I could turn back time, I’d get another diver piece. These are possible replacements: 1) JLC Polaris 2) Omega Seamaster 300 (the heritage range) in black 3) Maybe even an IWC aquatimer I’m surprised I can write this confession. In vino veritas they say.
The size is perfect, comfortable to wear, classically styled dive watch, robust movement, excellent value for money, and a superb addition to any collection!
