But the fact that they can put the P5000 movement in a 44mm luminor case

 

Now we only need a simple 2 - 3 days manual movement for all the other 44 luminor cases.

Than they can stop using ETA

 

the p5000 is an 8 day movement and I guess that will be too expensive to put in every entry level radiomir or luminor

A nice, and much needed, update to the Luminor line. It will be top of my list, whenever (if) it is released.

Would consider purchasing it.  Did you see the unreleased Radiomirs in a 3646 Type A config?  They look great!

Only thing I don't get why did Panerai keep quiet on the P5000 movement and the new Radiomirs?

Ok it is platinum and I know the movement is minerva but 59.000 euro???????

Thar is twice the price of a similar lange or patek
you can get a platinum lange 1815 AND a platinum patek calatrava for that price.

And I know the minerba is better finished than the standard panerai movements but
definitely not better than the lange or patek.

For that price a A Lange or  Patek is a no brainer.

Of P.5000 based watch over ETA based equivalent will be less than 10%!!!   So pricing wise it will be VERY competitive, not just relative to competitors but also competitive against the brandt's other in house movements.  

I think that the P.5000 & P.9000 series are designed to replace the 6498 & 7750 respectively.
I don't know if the Swatch Group has raised the prices to an unreasonable level or if they are planning to put a full stop on distributing their [ETA] movements to non Swatch-Group companies / Groups like Richemont, etc.
