Every time I see the Pam 339, I have to try it on, and every time I try it on I almost can't take it off my wrist.

You're a brave man to try it on. The watch sings a song to you subconsciously that almost puts you in a trance that prevents you from taking it off.

Your friend is very brave as well, but he may be experiencing the same problem if you loaned him a watch that also sings a song that prevents him from taking it off.

So, how did it happen? Did you just walked to the front door of OP and picked it up?

Looking forward in learning your impressions on it over the next several months.

Is it me, or is the composite a little bit more black in yours? I only ask because the Panerai press pics make it appear more chocolate in color. Oh, well, perhaps it was just the lighting.

Well...it's funny that you ask this...in fact I was in a kind of hurry when I went to the OP store to pick up the watch! So I just took the piece in a small travel box and left for an appointment. I had more time later to get it out of the travel box, to remove the sticker and other tags, to get it on my wrist for the first time ;-) and place my other watch in the box instead for the remainder of the evening...to enjoy

You're right, the chocolate color does not appear so well from my pics, but the real color is very similar to that on the official pics. The light condition was not ideal when I took the pics. I'll try to have a better catch of the color to correct this asap! However, the surface structure is such that it becomes dark fast when light is lacking, giving this nearly black impression.

What is amazing at first sight is the great legibility of time on this piece! the dial is so big!!! and the Superluminova really makes a great job at night also! the color change is interesting between daylight and darkness, where the indexes change from yellow (slightly orange) to green. But I guess this is standard on Panerai models...I'm just discovering those features with my first Pani here ;-) Despite its size, this watch is very comfortable to wear. Well, some people don't like this, but its light weight contributes a lot to its comfort. I personally have no problem with this, especially with such a size where an important weight could probably lower the wearing comfort.

I'll keep you posted regarding my impressions in the long run ;-) and hope I'll be able to show you this piece for real soon!
