The PAM203 and the EOT are TOTALLY different watches. At that price range, is what we say really going to make a difference?

The 203 has historical significance, but the EOT is a haute horological machine. Stunning in its own way but totally different.

I guess you'll ask next if you should consider a tourbillon?

If I were in your situation , without a doubt I would go vintage , I would not mind which one . with Angelus of Rolex , no doubt . Regards

With the 203, you have 'peace of mind' - regarding authenticity and service/faults. The 203 is an amazing beauty that combines old with new, highly recommended.

Vintage needs special appreciation, research, patience and PASSION. I would not recommend going into vintage unless it's for the right reasons.

both are awesome pieces for different reasons...you should ask youself..

why Panerai over other makes/models if you are looking to drop that kind of $$...

I would...would you? (of course I don't have the $$)

but I'm curious what might constitute as right reasons for owning a vintage Panerai?

My intention was towards a term I hear from time to time ~ "investment grade" watches. That would be a wrong reason IMO.

The only qualm I have with the PAM203 is how fast the price went up in the secondary market.  That's the only thing that irks me because I personally don't think it should be that high, given how low the retail price was for this piece.  However, without any consideration to price, it is my most favorite modern Panerai produced so far.  The PAM203 is sort of like owning a piece of Panerai history (if you don't want to venture into the Panerai vintage world).

Now on the other hand, if you are thinking about the PAM365, now that would be a serious piece of horological machinery.  Despite it's massive size, it fits good on the wrist too.  I'd love to own one if I won the lottery!

I am lucky enough to own a 203, and you would have a hard job to convince me that I should exchange it. Nothing to do with value or cost!

Either PAM203 or PAM365 would fit great as another addition to your collection. 

Have you tried a PAM365 on the wrist yet?  If not, you should IMO.

...hard to take this all seriously, tbh... :/
