The difference is color is very evident with the DLC looking like a Dark Grey and the Ceramic looking matte Black

Also the finishing of the surface is different
I feel ceramic more uniform and soft...its like silk.
DLC is less smooth...and feels colder than ceramic.
Agree with NAD...ceramic is just 100% matte finished. Great pics as always Nad. Thanks for sharing

Actually I think
that's precisely why it's so difficult to find the perfect strap for the 292... In a sense it's so dark that any strap w/ texture would appear almost too light in comparison.
How is the ceramic coated?
Is the ceramic powdercoated or is the material black all the way thru? I know with PVD, if you you scratch deep enough you will reveal bare metal. What happens in the ceramic?
The ceramic case is solid ceramic
It's not a ceramic coating like the PVD coatings.
The ceramic is very tough and highly resistant to scratches, but you will see tiny hairline scratches after a while, assuming you wear the watch regularly.
