Officine Panerai

I really like the clean modern look of the new in house movement.

Asides from the technical specs of the movement.  I was wondering what the the Panerai collectors amongst us think of the lack of finishing on the movement.

for a tool watch.  I think it's more appropriate for a solid-look rather than the traditional cote-de-Geneve or Perlage.  I have to agree with John, not a fan for small balance wheel.  I was quite impressed with the technical innovation like horizontal power reserve bar, 3-barrels.  It's a great attempt. 

he mentioned that Panerai are still functional tool watches so he didn't feel the need to have to finish the movement exquisitely.  He still wanted Panerai to keep the tool watch look so they just brushed finished the P.200x movements instead of geneva stripes, etc.

I personally myself would love to see geneva stripes and perlage everywhere on the P.200x movements, but I personally don't expect it anytime soon.  I do wish Panerai would skeletonize the plates a little more and not cover most of the movement up.
