A funny picture of the Panerai Marina Militare PAM 587 I took three years ago.
A friend of mine let me his 587 for me to take some pictures, three years ago. Needless to say that it was a convincing experience!
This reference is like wine... The older, the better, often.

I am really tempted to add this reference to my Pam collection. Pop quiz: which one would you rather get, the 587 of the 663? Not the same I know but the I love the case of the 587, while the dial of the 662, and therefore the 663, is by far my favorite in my collection. I think the answer to this question would still be the 587 for me. What about you?

And the 587/662 feel a bit top heavy compared to the 372/663, it is quite noticeable and most likely a deal breaker for me. I like the 663 a bit more than the 372.
Are you attributing the ‘top heaviness’ to the lack of crown protector in these cases?
I think just the case difference
The rad seems to sit taller on my wrist and not as stable as the 663 or 372. It's really nitpicking, but the center of gravity feels higher with my wrist shape at least.

I’ve had the same issue with the 587 since I got it, to the point I don’t wear it, sadly.
For my personal taste it would be too similar to my 372…but the 673 is a great reference nonetheless!
You’re correct, they are exactly the same except for dial writing.
I haven’t seen a 663…is that case different than the 372?
Beautiful watch and photo — I like how the wine residue on the cork in the upper left enhances the strap color. Very nice.
