Hello friends,
I would sincerely appreciate your honest opinions with regards to the strap choices you see here on the 995. Please be free with your comments. My default strap has been the dark brown Panerai OEM option that you see on the buckle side, versus the green camo option on the opposite side. I guess the fact that I’m soliciting opinions already tells you my feelings on the choices…but I do like to be fair. Regardless of the outcome, I can say for sure that I’m not a threat to Yacomino’s status as the Strap King👑

I’m honestly pleasantly surprised by all your responses, because I thought I may have overdone it.
So I will give it time on the wrist, knowing that it’s so easy to rotate to other options.

LOL, I actually do have a liking for that too:) I just don’t think I could carry that with style.
The camo as the other one is too similar to the stock strap. Now for the 995 two other choices I like are shown below. By far my favorite was a Corrigia L22 strap also shown blow (the last two pictures)…
Now, while I appreciate the mention on my passion to strap…I got my inspiration from two of our fellow purist whom are to me the true original strap monster: Justin and Ahoi! Cheers.
Also I suggest you have a look at Ahoi from earlier today for yet another cool 995 combo!
I’m surprised that the group didn’t turn on me for the camo strap, because I thought I was way off. But I do llike your Corrigia straps…
and all of Ahoi’s strap choices, which I think also include Corrigia. I just had to try the camo on, and I will wear for a while until my beige and distressed brown straps like yours and Ahi i’d come through. You’re correct, changing the straps isn’t so hard. Just used tape to protect the lugs and all good. Thank you for your opinion and suggestions.
I would go with the Camo as well in between those 2.
My other suggestions would be in accordance to my earlier post. I think the darker brown with really good and as well to different occasions. A beige tone matches with the Lume but is not my personal choice. a brighter tone fits as well quite well. Including the OEM white/grey canvas. Enjoy the ride of finding the right strap .
. Thank you, Ahoi, this is eye opening. Looking all the pictures you’ve provided alongside my camo shows that the camo is not the right option for the 995.
I’m not sure if these are all Corrigia, but the point is that the dark brown as well as light beige/sand speak to me loudest. The camo does not…which is why I was asking for feedback. However, I see my question was also shortsighted because I asked for comparison of the 2 options I presented…but that doesn’t mean they are the best options out there. Case in point is the OEM canvas strap that you wear sometimes and the above leather options. Thanks again for your presentations…and for setting such a high bar

And I don’t disagree since for me that is one of my all time favorite straps. But I have to venture a bit beyond my comfort zone for the experience.

I wore a pink sweat shirt in Christchurch N.Z. in the 80' and when I walked into a pub everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY froze and few mugs of beer fell from the patrons' hands. No, it is a J. Rousseau strap that I was tempted to try.
But I believe yours is one of the newer Panerai OEM straps, correct?
