Will it be your first Panerai? There Subs are great to wear also but there's nothing wrong with a simple base model to.
Interesting to learn what you have currently. The Base 000 is a great place to start.
It is like a Rolex Submariner. The Base PAM000 has all the DNA you need and lets you discover the brand. Play with straps and get the whole experience while not treating the watch with kid gloves.

only Panerai, buy the one you like the most. If it will be your...first one...buy a 000 or a 112, figure out IF Panerai does it for you, learn a bit more about the brand and then buy the...next. IMO
