Only one regret, which will not be shared by a majority of watch fans: The Date. I would live without much better.

By the way, the need of the date on a watch is something which always amazed me.

In my opinion, the date must often ruins the purity, the beauty of a dial.

Here it is ok, but how even mre alluring it would be without!

I find I always look to my wrist to know what the date is, even when my watch is dateless!

On the other hand, GO's recent shift from crown to button adjusted dates is one of those minor things that really annoy me. They've proven they can have a standard quick-set date, yet they choose to get rid of it (on the Chronometre and on the cal.100), Madness!!

To adjust the date needs the pusher, rather than using the crown...

. . . of the PanoDate usually entails a pusher, which understandably seems archaic. I think it's engaging, but then, there's no accounting for taste ;-) . . .

I'd prefer it without the date. I'd be up for losing the power reserve indicator from the face as well.

I really like the set though. What a glorious find for them.

The wristwatch alone would be cool enough, but paired with the restored deck chronometer and you've got something special.

When I first met the Senator Chronometer, I was already impressed.  Here was a beautiful watch with all the practicality of a watch that could be used every day, that could be set with supreme accuracy and precision, and a watch with the movement finishing that would create envy among many brands. 

How could they make this watch any better? 

Well, the platinum edition is a beautiful edition and I dare say, the best Senator Choronometer yet! 

Congratulations to the lucky owners who will wear this watch!

I was wondering what the differences between this PT version and the regular production WG version are? The only difference I could discern is the cabochon on the crown and the limited number on the dial...

. . . the distinguishing factor between the first and second runs of the limited edition platinum black dialed Panos mid-decade, where the first hundred had a cabochon and the second batch did not.

Perhaps the non-limited edition platinum Chronometers will be similarly distinguished.

Is that right for the similar looking Patek repeater? I am on a 4k (yes kilobyte) connection so it is not possible for me to go search this out for myself. Regardless I must admit I was also hoping a platinum version would come along sans date. In my mind for watches of this style less is more, I will be curious myself to see if the crown comes unadorned on the  standard edition. Another thing, as I said when they first announced the chronometer I was hoping for a black face on the sure to come LE chronograph, I expected it actually considering other platinum LE offerings. I am  watching closely because if they make such a watch as I describe I expect to be among the first to own.
