And because I was a good boy, a very good boy, therefore I have received a so-called Doppelpack:

Beautiful watches! after comparing Glashütte watches with "same category" brands (Blancpain, Jaeger, Ulysse Nardin) I only found LUC Chopard to be at the same level of quality, but with a gold premium that I am not ready to pay. The seventies has nothing to envy to a Nautilus or a Royal Oak.

The first generation PML is one of the beautiful watches that G.O. Ever made. At least this is my very personal two cents. A little bit old fashioned but so beautiful!
The Sixties I would have picked without the date, but this is why there a choices after all.

Yes, the first generation PML kill them all! That's the reason why I was very, very fortunate, that I could find one more left NEW piece at my AD!
I find the blue heated hands without lume much better than the actual version with lume, and the little second is also more little and discrete as at the new model.
Old fashioned, yes, but classical and better proportioned!

Proportions are the key asset of the 1st generation PML.
The slight disproportion in the placement of the date on the 2nd generation PML is the point that lets me hesitate to get one. It is hardly noticeable but if you know that the movement was designed for a smaller dial then you will always see it.
On the other hand the freshness on the new design is captivating also.

The first one is the original one that I love at the first sight. When they release the current one
I fell in love again. At the moment I prefer the current one over tha original one but maybe next
week is it opposite.
