I know many of the members here have traveled extensively, so I’m hoping I’ll get some recommendations: tours, restaurants and sites to visit

Yes, the rooftop of the Marina Bay Sands has great views.
We were there in July. My daughter and I went to the part of the rooftop open to the public (as opposed to the part reserved for the hotel), while my wife went off with a Singaporean school friend to see the amazing orchids at the botanical garden (which my wife loved). We had a wander around the Raffles building (quite a few great watch shops and the AP House). I’m sure our Singaporean members can add some other great ideas. Great city.

A friend suggested lunch at the top of the MBS, we will definitely do that. The Raffles is a must see and maybe a bite to eat.

We won’t be there on a Sunday, but lunch at Raffels sounds enjoyable. I’ll check out the watch stores there as well.
Thx Goh, guess they no longer sell fun computer bits, great deals on camera stuff, mass assortment of DIY / parts, Fluke/etc EE tools, etc.
i know the Adelphi in Singapore was home for luxury home audio long ago, but last time i was there it was mainly a place for adult massages. SG does change, thx Goh for the heads up as loved Sim Lim for EE toys/tools.
Maybe they still do...
but the place has a widespread reputation of unethical vendors that I will not set foot in.
Have so many suggestions!

1. Yixing Xuan Teahouse (great place to drink some tea and they are super nice)
2. Peranakan Museum
3. Hawker centers (Newton is super famous now but it is the one I have been to that was my fav)
4. The many watch shops around Singaapore, like hour glass or etc..

Maybe a Singapore sling at the Long bar? Love food recommendations! I have a dinner reservation at Meta, so good to have more.
You can consider also Botanical Garden. Free entry from 6 am and it is second largest urban jungle park in the world. Very calming and beautiful, great history also.
They have beautiful Orchid Garden. You can enter via Botanical Garden MRT station or Napier MRT

Robertson Quay in the evening, followed by a walk along the sg river towards the esplanade
The Katong area.
If you want to get the feel of a nice neighborhood, got to the Katong area. There’s an amazing Indian temple on Ceylon Rd, beautiful conservation shop houses along Koon Seng Rd, and more delicious local eateries that I could name.
