Thank you for your encouragement. I promise to post more shots of the 4 Omegas that I have. I must confess that my first love is still Rolex but I sure like the early speedmasters and seamasters. Cheers!

I bought myself a set of lenses which were manufactured to fit over my IPhone 5 and.....what you see is what you get. Try it and will get some amazing shots of your watches. You can find these lenses on ebay.

But I believe that the chronograph hand is more recent.

Here is an example (look to the base of the hand):

One rule that I follow, that may be wrong, is that every Speedmaster with the 321 movement should have the chronograph hand like the one on this picture.

It may be replaced eons ago, based on the overall patina.

Not easy to find one but not impossible.

I'm anxiously awaiting a 105.012-66 w/CB case to show up at my door step. Unfortunately it has the more modern chrono sweep as shown on the "Ed White".

As I'm sure you're aware that a modern, but more correct long-tail chrono sweep is available from a regular Omega parts supplier in the US. I'm considering ordering two of them for my watch. I'm going to try to add "coffee patina" to one and have the other ready just in case. I plan on having the watch serviced before I put it on my wrist, yes I'm going to wear it, and have the new more correct chrono sweep installed. In the mean time I'll try to source an original vintage chrono sweep - ya, good luck ;-(

There are several ways to put a faux patina on any hand.

Some, are so efficient that removes the unwanted Luminova lume and produces a faux time aging.

You are right about the chrono hands. The set of hands were later replacements. The thing I like about collecting is that I will try to bring the configuration back to the original when funds are available. Then comes the fun part of trawling the forums and ebay for the right part.
