Omega

Always a pleasure to wear with its contained size and great balance on the wrist. If Omega could make a no date AT with polished indices around 10-11mm they could easily steal customers from the crown, unfortunately they seem either incapable or unwilling to do so, in the meantime the 2500 still shines:

I am fully with you - universal watches, without a date and at 10mm thickness (or even better below) are a great genre. The thinness especially has left the building at most brands, as it is more expensive than thickness. The non-limited Railmasters almost made it into the category, but is still a tad thicker. 

It could have been an exp1 but I couldn't justify the price difference and the RM is the less frequently seen option so it was a no brainer.

I assume this is the 36 mm size? Unfortunately Omega have really lost their way with case thickness in their modern line-up. All the more reason to embrace the 2500 era. A no date AT would be very cool! But I guess Omegas answer to that is the RM. It truly baffles me why, they continue to make their cases so thick, no one knows if they are unwilling or unable. But I agree, they would win even more customers over with this improvement! I agree, it will cost them more to make the case 2 mm slimmer. But has anyone realized lately what MSRP they are already charging for their AT’s?? At these prices I expect a thinner case 

The latest 38 AT would need to shave at least 1-1.5mm to be credible in that segment (it's 12.36mm) and the deployant clasp is a handful, all of this was very obvious. A real shame as they may be sitting on a decent seller.

And super helpful side by side comparison. You can really see the case slimness of the 2500 shine through on your side view pics. What did you think of the grey fume dial as compared to solid black dial on yours? A gimmick? Or did it work in the metal? 

…could fix that.  Also, I miss their elegant dress watches.
