Solid purpleheart handle with red palm forearm and butt; the shaft will be made from granadillo, a South American hardwood, contrary to the notation on the build sheet.

The red palm forearm and butt are 'floating' on a single solid purpleheart timber . . .
. . . so the purpleheart handle is in actuality a visible part of the core. This type of construction is especially suited for break cues, as the whole section is really just one piece of purpleheart wood without any breaks in it.
Most of the playing cues Bob has built are either cored all the way thru with all visible wood elements 'floating' over the core, or partially cored when a noble wood like baroni or Brazilian rosewood is used for the forearm.
