Well, I finally received the call from the OB that my Seamaster James Bond 60th Anniversary had finally arrived!
This was unveiled on November 23rd last year, the day before Thanksgiving. I requested one from the OB the day after Thanksgiving. So, we’re looking at 11 months!
During a visit to the OB back in June, they had told me not to get my hopes up when I inquired about my allocation status. They responded that I probably wouldn’t receive my piece until next summer. So, it was truly shocking when I received the call (email) the other day!
I’m quite surprised that these don’t seem to be arriving at a faster pace. My guess is that Omega may be having challenges with the animated caseback. But, that’s only a guess!
Box was a bitch to open!😩
Omega doesn’t mess around!
Even Ozzy was excited!😁
I already knew this would be an issue. The mesh bracelet leaves an annoying gap on the inboard side of my wrist due to the long clasp. I will probably mount this on the standard bracelet in the not to distant future!
Overall, I’m quite fortunate and pleased to have added this to my collection. I much prefer the aluminum dial to the ceramic dial, which I previously owned:
Before I congratulate you, may I first thank you for not posting the sealed box photos first?

Maybe it is only me, I don't like scrolling through 10 images to see what the watch is. Even worse, a dedicated post of a FedEx screenshot with "out for delivery". Now that I have vented those thoughts, CONGRATULATIONS!! The thickened dial markers are just super duper! Always a treat after waiting so long for a new piece. Enjoy my Friend!
