Depth rating in meters and feet makes sense considering the US market.
Also true that during certain period and due to import taxes in the USA many movements for that market were made with less jewels than those made for Europe markets.
I own a very nice condition example, I would say with very little wearing which I found several years ago.
It was bought to the widow of original owner who bought it in July 1978 in a well known jewelry shop in Grand Cayman though by the serial number it was made in 1971.
It seems that first owner never used it to dive as it has no nicks or wearing marks in case or bracelet. Just the patina of more than 50 years since it was made by Omega.
You wear it nicer in your wrist than me as my wrist is rather thin at 17 cms (a bit less than 7”) and it is a big watch but I enjoy wearing it anyway.
The PloProf was a great diving tool on its age and a watch of great character and with such an interesting story and unique design which makes it an icon.
