It's very much of its era - the contrast between the seconds hand and grey dial is just about perfect for me.
I like the look so much, I've been getting distracted by Chronostops too - as they have a very similar look, even if they're much smaller & have a completely different function.
That and they also have the funky orange seconds hand.

What a coincidence. I was very tempted by this watch a few days ago during a visit to a Paris vintage boutique.
The orange seconds hand is very cool against the gray.
Groan! Moan! I hate it. Every time I see a Memomatic, which luckily isn't often, I wish I hadn't sold mine! And yours looks in excellent condition, jml-watches, even the tritium.
