Sharing my latest addition to my Bond related collection...
A new piece for my collection to make company to my beloved NTTD Bond Omega Seamaster 300m: Jack the bull dog NTTD edition by Royal Doulton.
RD has offered the figurine of this charming bull dog in the past through several editions.
It had come to symbolize the determination of British character and specially those editions issued during WWII honoured the bravery and determination of military personnel and the UK Prime Minister, Winston Churchill.
This figurine of Jack the bull dog made appearance in Skyfall and Spectre Bond films and returns in NTTD.
It survives a big explosion with a few cracks on its face and charring of the Union Jack which covers its back.
The figurine repaired with glue is bequeated to Bond by her chief “M” and now is a prized object of 007.
This new edition of Jack released by RD after the new Bond film comes from the factory showing the “repaired” face of the dog as shown in the film and I felt it makes a charming beautiful company to my watch and a cute mascot on my desk!

Regarding the comparisson you ask me it is very difficult for me to answer as I am a long time fan of Submariners since I was very young when I got my first Sub, a 5513 in 1966. That was the only watch I wore for more than 40 years till I started collecting watches.
I have a place for the Sub very deep in my heart as you may understand. It is a very reliable, tough and well made watch in any of its variants.
Now I must confess that as a long time fan and collector of Rolex I' m rather dissapointed with the last years policy of marketing their watches making it almost impossible to find their sport watches in their boutiques or AD's (or anywhere at officila price list)
Now, Omega makes very high quality watches, high tech movments and in the case of Seamasters diving watches also very reliable and tough. This special Bond model 300m I love so much all its details: dial, bezel, Big Arrow on dial, creamy indexes and being made of Ti too which adds that special grey color. I feel one of the best Omegas worn by Bond.
Just one little detail of Omega diving watches I'm not very fond of is their Helium valve at ten as a second crown. I would prefer a flush automatic valve like the Sea Dweller. Not a big deal anyway.
The difference in wearing them on the wrist is a very personal matter as it largely depends on wrist size And shape and the feeling each user has about weight. I am very used to wear a Rolex Sub but find very easy to change to the Omegas Seamasters I own.
As usual it is always better to try a watch on your own wrist before taking the plunge in any watch brand or model.

I currently have both a Seamaster and a Rolex diver, so its hard to decide if i should buy a planet ocean or a yacht master.

As always it is a very personal choice as it depends on personal taste about esthetics and how it feels on your own wrist.
I’m very fond of my Yatch Master but you know it is very difficult to find a Rolex in a Rolex boutique.
In my recent experience in Miami area Rolex boutiques had absolutely no watches in exhibition in their front windows or in the interior displays and no sport watches available.
Absolutely crazy!! I can’t understand the policy of my favorite brand!!

Thank you so much for your kind comments Alex! I got the watch last year wishing to wear it when the film was going to be released in April...
... But pandemia changed the plans of everybody around the World.
The titanium gives an special touch of color which makes it attractive as a military watch it is presumed to be. It also makes it very comfortable on the wrist due to its light weight compared to a full steel watch.
Of course if you are not fan of Ti it might not be your choice. I can well understand you.

It is true dear Abel the titanium color is very attractive
Especially with this watches’ colors all across.
For me it is only how titanium ages and the easiness of how it scratches and how visible the scratches appear to then be.

... Of this little cute dog from RD, one for each film.
The first one for Skyfall is "mint" and for the other two films "repaired" after the explosion in Spectre. The first one is a collectors item long discontinued and high prices are demanded for one of these.
