The movement was produced in 1943 or '44, Fernando . . .
. . . and was sourced in Australia. My hunch is that it was originally delivered to South Africa; I really should order the extract from Omega.

Good observation.
It had very little wrist time on the strap. Ordered this from US (ref. US 1035), a vintage inspired flat link bracelet that is specially made for this watch (check out their website). It totally completes the watch.
