Girard Perregaux

This intriguing 39 mm platinum Minute Repeater, which could be a prototype as it is numbered 0, and which is powered by cal. 9890, was sold as lot 60 last March, during Phillips' Watches Online Auction: The Geneva Sessions Spring 2025.

I have said it before but Girard Perregaux really is such an underrated brand with such a rich history of watch and movement making they really deserve more recognition IMHO. Especially when you see them create pieces like this watch.

Not a lot of companies have produced minute repeaters with more than two gongs.  Audemars Piguet and Girard Perregaux probably have the most references and calibers in recent years for carillons.  I wonder how it sounds in person!  

and I’ll have to dig deeper as I don’t know that much about GP.

how great GP could be if it tries hard. And in very late 90s it was delivering non stop!
