I know what you mean. That said I think I prefer the date at 4h30 instead of the traditional 3 o'clock. Of course I would prefer without a date but I can live with it here!
Yes, but not all chronos strike me that same way.
I like chronos in general, but for example for an AP Royal Oak, I don’t like the chrono more than the time only RO…but in the CODE 11.59, I love the chrono much more than regular CODE. And the same for your turquoise AE, I love the chrono much more than the non-chrono turquoise version. It must be subtleties in some chronos compared with others. I think the bigger size is part of it.
If there is no date, I would have break my rules again to get this similar dial watch. Congrats again!

I try not to feel like it’s the same watch but I do have multiple GMTs and Daytonas…all different colors though.
