The final Eagle 🦅 has landed! The Alpine Eagle Maritime Chronograph!
At 44mm some might be intimidated by its size but I find it wears about the same as my 42mm Explorer II, with slightly longer lug to lug. With this reference a rubber strap and a leather will follow as Chopard does offer straps for their chrono references. Compared to the other chrono dial where all the chrono markers are white which makes the dial a bit busy, with the version I find the darker chrono marker are just perfect for this dial! I completely agree with your comment on the black markings. I like this much more.
One general comment about the AE dimensions. I have tried on the 44mm chronos and 41mm pieces (except the XPS, still never seen that one live). None of them feel as large as other watches with same dimensions. For example, a 44mm Panerai or a 44mm Offshore feel substantially larger on my wrist than an AE chrono.

Thanks Michael. The AE indeed wears smaller then its size because in part the case size include the “crown guard” it its measurement on each side.
For example this chrono from bezel to bezel measures 40-41mm! So almost 2mm of crown guard on each side
