... as some here recently discussed the super Trofeo alcantara strap, I'd like to get back with some information on this topic.
I spent some time at the Blancpain Boutique in Munich yesterday and we talked about the strap options - they mentioned that apparently the ST strap is quite thin - complimenting the case design of the watch - so it may not really suit the FF :-(
So I - again - tried something out: would the rubber strap that comes with strap change tool work on the black FF?
Well...
... I think it does ;-)
Have a nice weekend!

Thanks for putting up the photos. Have not seen the rubber strap before on any of the Fifty Fathoms, much less the Black one. Looks terrific.

... and a confession ;-)
you can wear the strap both ways, with or without the BLANCPAIN and Fifty Fathoms inscription. In my view the strap itself is so plain and simple in it's design, that I had to go for the 'show-off' version...
another problem was that the strap is extremly long - as it is supposed to be worn over a diving suit - and since my wrists are rather small I had to cut it. according the the Blancpain Boutique there is no shorter strap available :-(
anyway, here are some more pics - hope you enjoy
cheers
changing the buckle is no big deal - you just need an appropriate tool
the buckle sits on a spring bar, so it is a 20 seconds operation.

... will be hard to scratch - no comparison to PVD finishes Panerai used to have in the A and B series. The DLC coating is extremly hard - see some information posted by Jeff Kingston a few threads below. It would be way easier to scratch the SS buckle than this one. So give it a try ;-)
