IMO this will bring overall positive outcome to the watch collecting community.
Lol...can't say I was a fan of the MoonSwatch hype and hysteria, and my inclination is to pan this as well, but you do have a point.
Some introspection never hurt.

The Sistem51 is not repairable as far as I know.
This was an issue many people had with this model, at $150 retail and built to be disposable. I can say I’ve owned one since first launch and have bought more over the years. Never had any issues with mine, but I do know some people had different experiences.
I never heard of a system51 what had to be disposed but I think that they can replace the movement

Much better looking than expected. They resemblance with
the original BP FF is much greater than the one between the Moonswatch and the Speedmaster. Which I like. But I wonder if it could be therefore possibly more harmful or beneficial to the original icon?
It seems like a great gift to give to a watch collector in your life.
Since it's so hard to buy the right luxury watch as a gift for an opinionated watch collector, this might be the ideal present. It's cheap enough that you're not taking a big risk, expensive enough that it won't be an offensive offering for a birthday or holiday, and mechanically/historically interesting enough to be fun for the collector.
